The grass is lush once more for most of eastern Australia, but effective and efficient water usage needs to remain a prioirty for the meat processing industry, says Guenter Hauber-Davidson, Managing Director of the WaterGroup. Rainwater harvesting, recycling water, reduced leakage and waste, re-using water for noncritical tasks, water saving devices, maintenance of equipment and pipes all can be implemented with relative ease with attractive payback periods.
