Guenter Hauber-Davidson, our Managing Director, is one of Australia’s leading water conservation practitioners Guenter has been instrumental in developing leading edge water conservation design tools and models. He is at the forefront of developing innovative rainwater harvesting solutions.

To date, he has been involved in the preparation of over 50 water savings plans. He has assisted in winning grants from both the NSW DEUS Water Savings Fund and from the Community Water Grants scheme. He also developed a smart water meter. Guenter is one of only a few water conservation experts that has had extensive involvement in the implementation of large scale integrated water conservation schemes. He holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering having spent all of his career working in the water and wastewater treatment field.

Melanie Werner holds an engineering degree with a background in process engineering. Through this she has gained considerable experience in understanding, designing and implementing process solutions, a skill she is now readily transferring to help our clients identify and cost practical sustainable water savings solutions.

As part of her ongoing PhD studies in environmental engineering, Melanie has also worked in Central Australia, looking at the potential for use of water purification and recycling technologies in arid climates. Melanie brings to the Water Conservation Group an ability to quickly understand a client’s water use and needs, and the drive to design and implement solutions that help save water.

Mitchell Dixon is a civil engineer with nine years experience in the water industry. He comes from a large consultancy group servicing water authorities, where he was a project manager and designer for water and sewerage infrastructure. His experience has been in transportation and treatment, ranging from small pump stations through to pipelines and large water supply systems.

Prior to this Mitchell worked at Sydney Water in their water conservation area. During this time he was part of a program focused on reducing leaks within the water supply network. He undertook feasibility studies for recycled water schemes for the manufacturing industry and irrigation. He has also worked in community relations educating the public and school children on how to save water. He has a passion for innovation and sustainability, coupled with a practical mind to create water saving systems that can work for you.

Mike Lambert has joined us from Tankworks and brings to the Water Conservation Group extensive experience in the design and installation of large rainwater schemes. Mike is also experienced in the application of other water saving measures such as leak detection, specifying and installing water efficient fittings and short and long-term smart metering.

Mike’s current focus at WCG is examining water consumption and potential water savings through the preparation of water savings reports for our Greening Grey Facilities programme, bringing water conservation to the aged care sector. Mike is presently completing his studies in Civil Engineering at TAFE.

Berit Hanly holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics. She has many years experience in Business Development, Consulting and System Engineering from working in IT Business. Berit is the Marketing and Delivery Manager for Water Conservation Group focusing on Smart Metering Solutions and the delivery of our unique water management business propositions to a wide sector of the commercial market.

Berit has a keen interest in sustainability through community involvement with local council in reviewing strategic planning documents for sustainability and contributing as a participant to their Earthwise programme.

Ryan Dillon holds a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science. He joins Water Conservation Group with commendations for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Achievement from the University of QLD. Ryan is a member of QLD Conservation Council’s executive board and as a Brisbane Regional Ministerial Forum participant he is involved in representing community views about environmental issues at ministerial level. Most recently he has been involved in Water Resource Planning and Policy with the Department of Natural Resources and Water.

Rex Sullings is one of our specialist irrigation consultants. Rex has worked in the urban irrigation industry for over 25 years. Rex brings a depth of experience and knowledge derived from hundreds of major projects in irrigation and water conservation implemented nationally.
