What's your plan to defend against drought and water restrictions?

Category: In the News

The water restrictions announced recently for Sydney are unlikely to be the last. The question is do we have to reach 'day zero' like Capetown before we take major steps to save water?

We often take measures at home to save water, but what about in your place of business, council, shopping centre, hospital, caravan park or university?

You may remember the last Sydney drought, that stretched for a decade between 2000 and 2011 and saw dam levels fall to almost 30 per cent, the lowest levels since the 1950s. While we all adapted quietly and efficiently to water saving habits during that period, it didn't take long until we slipped back into bad habits or no habits at all.

Less toilet flushing, restricted sprinklers and washing cars with a bucket are some ways to save water at your home, but here a few ways business can save water too.

Are you considering any of these?

  • Water Audit/Assessment - We look over your property and give you an in-depth report on existing facilities and what can be done to be more efficient with your water usage.
  • Smart Metering - Often far more cost effective than the above, plus it leaves a lasting benefit. Connect a logger device to an existing water meter or get one of our ultrasonic fully integrated water meters - both supply data that gives you the tools to manage your water usage and identify leaks fast.
  • Leak Detection - do you know you have a leak, but not sure where it is? We have great correlator or leak pinpointing products that can help.

It's never too late to start creating new habits.
