Stormwater harvesting and reuse projects - 3rd Round
The Australian Government is calling for applications for funding to support eligible stormwater harvesting and reuse projects under the National Urban Water and Desalination Plan: stormwater harvesting and reuse grants round. Projects are sought that capture, treat and use stormwater to ease the pressure on drinking water supplies and deliver improved water quality to our urban waterways. Project minimum $2 million (eligible for $1 million funding).

Victorian Government allocates $50 million to increase the use of stormwater and recycled water in Victorian cities over the next 4 years. A further $40 million allocated to extend water rebates to water-efficient appliances.

National Water Week Ambassador Initiative
Become an ambassador for National Water Week 16-22 October. This initiative aims to improve water literacy in our schools and local communities. In its first year over 150 ambassadors were recruited from AWA's membership; over 100 schools requested a visit from an ambassador and an estimated 6,000 young people were reached. Find out more

Victorian Government Smart Water Fund
From 3 March 2011, The Smart Water Fund is inviting applications to share in up to $1 million in new funding for innovative Water projects as part of its Open Innovation Stream. Applications are open to businesses, research institutions and individuals across Australia, and the funding will support projects that investigate new technologies and approaches to Water management, and demonstrate a benefit to Victoria's Water industry. Generally, the Smart Water Fund will consider applications in the range of $100,000 - $500,000 and projects should deliver knowledge, products or solutions that: a. contribute to sustainable urban Water management, and b. are valuable to the Victorian Water utilities and the customers they serve.
